Pop up folk and poetry

I was lucky enough to be involved in a pop-up folk and poetry event hosted by Bermondsey Fayre, a wonderful little boutique on Bermondsey Street near London Bridge, and The Borough Common. About 50 of us crammed in amongst all of the wonderfully made objects. We were hosted by Sam Smith and blessed with performances from the wonderful Donna McDowell, the mighty Tamsin Kendrick, the booming Peter Mason, the haunting Ali Mackenzie, the angel voices of The Going and The Rise, the fantastic Jon & Izzy and the harmonious Emma and Ashley (videos linked).

Here are my contributions:

The videos give a sense of the atmosphere which was maybe even heightened by the drunken invasion by the strange man carrying a toy gun. Gutted we didn’t get it on video.
